God Help Us All! Netflix Drops ‘The Ridiculous 6’ Trailer

rs_560x415-151027093939-560-Taylor-Lautner-Ridiculous-6-Netflix.jm.102715

Netflix has released the new trailer for one of it’s most expensive projects, Adam Sandler’s ‘The Ridiculous 6.” Now we here at Double Toasted have had more than our fair share of fun talking about how big this turd will actually be once it premieres on the popular streaming platform. The film which has a huge notable cast that includes: Terry Crews, Jorge Garcia, Taylor Lautner, Rob Schneider, Luke Wilson, Will Forte, Nick Swardson, Blake Shelton, Jon Lovitz, Vanilla Ice, Whitney Cummings, Steve Zahn, Danny Trejo, Chris Parnell, and Lavell Crawford. That’s pretty much the standard Sandler players minus Stone Cold Steve Austin, apparently he was the only one who had any goddamn sense. The film has been marred in controversy since it started filming. Native American groups were up in arms over the films insensitive portrayal of indians in the 1800s. They were, and rightfully so, offended by stereotypes and just down right dumbass “humor” such as naming native american characters such names as Beaver’s Breath” and “No Bra”. If you’re unfamiliar with the plot, you’re not alone, Netflix and Happy Madison have kept the synopsis pretty under wraps, for what reason I don’t know, but this is what The Wrap gathered from the trailer:

“Sandler will play man who grew up as an orphan among an Indian tribe. Lautner, Schneider, Wilson, Garcia and Crews are poised to play his half-brothers. Nolte will play Sandler’s long-lost father; Parnell a bank manager; Lovitz a wealthy industrialist and Cummings his flirtatious wife. Forte and Trejo will play the leaders of rival gangs, while Buscemi will play a local jack-of-all-trades.”

Now as far as the trailer goes, it wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be…but my expectations were about as low as low can get, I mean, that shit was down there with ‘Jem and the Holograms’. This movie looks down right awful, it’s as if Sandler took ‘A Million Ways To Die In The West’ threw that in a blender with ‘You Don’t Mess With The Zohan’, pressed puree, drank it and shat out ‘The Ridiculous 6’. This thing is typical Sandler and typical Sandler is nothing good. It’s no surprise that Adam Sandler hasn’t had a hit since ‘Grown Ups 2’ which was a fucking abomination in it’s own right.

If you want to subject yourself to another Sandler joint ‘The Ridiculous 6″ premieres Decemeber 11, 2015.
