Is ‘Game of Thrones’ About To Be A Movie?

Screen_Shot_2015-06-08_at_9.51.26_AM.0

OK, HBO, George R.R. Martin, for the love of god stop teasing us with this movie. There have been reports all day that ‘A Song of Fire and Ice’ author George R.R. Martin reported spoke to The Daily Star and told them that as fair as a movie goes:

“There will be a movie but I will not be involved. I have too much to do. That is something HBO and the DB and David are dealing with. I have two more books to finish and I still have so much to do. The pressure is on. I am such a slow writer and the fans get upset that I don’t write faster.”

That was what The Daily Star said Martin told them. Now in a recent article from BuzzFeed News the iconic author changed his tune, basically doing a complete 360, flat denying he said anything:

“Yes, [the report is] completely false. No one is working on any movie just now. And if there was a movie, it would not be about Robert’s Rebellion.”

So, what the fuck? Is this thing happening or isn’t it that’s all me and the millions of ‘Game of Thrones’ fans around the world wanna know? No need for the run around fellas. Honestly, if you really think about a movie right now wouldn’t be the smartest thing. It would actually be quite illogical seeing how HBO is dumping millions of dollars into ‘Game of Thrones’ every season. The budget for a ‘GOT’ movie would be pretty goddamn steep, easily something within the $120-150 million range and no disrespect to HBO but they ain’t got that kind of money. My guess is they ‘Entourage’/’Sex In The City’ this, albeit on a much more epic scale. What I mean by that is those to shows were turned into movies years after they were off the air. If ‘GOT’ follows suit then expect a film, likely a prequel, to be out a couple years after ‘Game of Thrones’ final season.
