New ‘Daredevil’ Season 2 Trailer Featuring The Punisher Is Out And It’s Fucking

Marvel and Netflix just dropped the first new trailer for the upcoming season of ‘Daredevil’ and it is fucking glorious. The trailer heavily focuses on Frank Castle A.K.A. The Punisher. It looks as if the this season will be equal parts Daredevil and equal parts The Punisher, with some Elektra thrown in (we’ll get to that later). Last season the show had  a balance with Daredevil/Matt Murdock’s plot line and Wilson Fisk/Kingpin’s plot line. This seems to be the shows structure, equally showing both the sides of the hero and villain which makes us actually feel for the villain. The fact that it seems The Punisher is this seasons main villain makes the second season all the more awesome. At the end of the trailer we see a little stinger featuring Elektra, whom will get a trailer all to herself in a couple of weeks. Looking at the trailer and everything that is said to be featured this season, it’s hard to see this failing, especially after it’s strong first season which didn’t even feature Daredevil’s signature red suit. Now that Daredevil is Daredevil I expect things to be kicked up a notch. If you’re curious what the plot will be this season heres the official synopsis:

Just when Matt thinks he is bringing order back to the city, new forces are rising in Hell’s Kitchen. Now the Man Without Fear must take on a new adversary in Frank Castle and face an old flame – Elektra Natchios. Bigger problems emerge when Frank Castle, a man looking for vengeance, is reborn as The Punisher, a man who takes justice into his own hands in Matt’s neighborhood. Meanwhile, Matt must balance his duty to his community as a lawyer and his dangerous life as the Devil of Hell’s Kitchen, facing a life-altering choice that forces him to truly understand what it means to be a hero.
