The Daily Double Talk

FRANKENSTEIN

By Tommy McGrew

So I think I got this thing figured out now whenever movie studios can’t come up with any good movie ideas they just decide to make another Frankenstein movie, hell they’ve be doing that since 1910 and continue to do so today. 20th Century Fox is no different someone over there figure it out hey we havent done anything good with Frankenstein since Young Frankenstein. So they grabbed Harry Potter and Professor X and sorry to make a more fun version of Victor Frankenstein and Igor Strausman, I’m hoping to see an orgin story for that hump. This is the films synopsis courtesy of Just Jared:

Radical scientist Victor Frankenstein (McAvoy) and his equally brilliant protégé Igor Strausman (Radcliffe) share a noble vision of aiding humanity through their groundbreaking research into immortality. But Victor’s experiments go too far, and his obsession has horrifying consequences. Only Igor can bring his friend back from the brink of madness and save him from his monstrous creation.”

I don’t recall there ever being a good Frankenstein movie in my lifetime and from looking at this trailer it doesn’t look like there’s going to be anytime soon. Specially if I plan on this being a franchise with you it looks like it wants to be. The trailer reminds you of huge Jackman’s Van Helsing mixed with Guy Ritchie Sherlock Holmes. They definitely going the campy Hollywood blockbuster route with this one. The trailer is filled with one-liners and CGI creatures, yes, it looks like they might be going to Frankenstein versus monsters well clearly no one learned anything from I, Frankenstein. But I’ll try not to judge until I see the final product which is set to be released on November 25, 2015. In the meantime check out the trailer below, tell me what you think.
