Say it ain’t so DC, say it ain’t so! I wrote a story last week expressing how excited I was that George Miller would possibly be directing the next Man of Steel film. Turns out I spoke too soon it seems that the man of steel sequel is now in limbo permanent limbo. According to a rep from Warner Bros. the rumor that George miller was directing was just that, a rumor. Because the fact was the sequel to Zack Snyder’s 2012 film was on permanent hold which in other words means they ain’t thinking about that shit. If this were three months ago I would if probably said something along the lines of “DC, fuckin’ up again.” But that was three months ago, today, I feel that this is all for a very good reason. In my opinion, DC had finally gotten it figured out. They’ve found their “sweet spot” so to speak and now they know what needs to be done. When you’re trying to build a cinematic universe and you have a stable of heroes and villains to cover, sometimes you gotta make sacrifices. Man of Steel was Warner Bros. and DC walking into a pitch black room with no light. They had no clue where they were going, where they needed to be, they had no light, no guide. Now though, it seems somebody finally  found a fucking flashlight and now they can see exactly where they’re going and it ain’t no where near another Man of Steel movie. I don’t blame the studio for the move, they have a lot of ground to cover with very little time to do so, no time to rehash shit we’ve already seen. Bring on the Teen Titans, Power Girl, fuck bring on Blue Beetle if you want (well maybe not that far) just keep expanding. DC with only releasing one film and a couple if trailers had managed to catch up with the Marvel Cinematic Universe, who took their foot off the gas this summer with Avengers 2 and Ant-man. Although I enjoyed both of those films it was Marvel being Marvel nothing more, nothing less. In order to hang with this new DCCU Marvel will have no choice but  to do more.
