Holy shit where’s Bravo someone needs to make this into a reality show ASAP! Apparently little did we know there’s been a hell of a lot of drama over at Marvel Studios. Mainly between studio president Kevin Feige and studio CEO Ike Perlmutter both of whom seemingly can’t stand one another. You may have heard earlier this week that Kevin would now be reporting directly to Disney executive Alan Horn instead of reporting to his version of Thanos, Ike Perlmutter. it seemed like a questionable move at the time that just sort of came out of nowhere. Now we know it was something that as been building for quite sometime. The restructuring was necessary because Kevin Feige was apparently thinking about leaving Marvel for good. He had reached his breaking point with Perlmutter who has a reputation for being bat shit crazy and unpredictable. He also was head of Marvels creative committee, the team responsible for movie ideas and scripts were kicked around. Perlmutter kept notes on changes needed for upcoming projects, his notes are what made Edgar Wright say fuck it and leave Ant-Man. It was Perlmutter’s aggravation over Captain America: Civil War’s budget that was the last straw for Kevin Feige. That caused him to basically give the CEO the proverbial middle finger and go over his boss’ head which I’m sure left Perlmutter with a bad taste I’m his mouth. Kevin Feige now has free run of Marvel Studio, away from Perlmutter who does still control Marvel comics, merchandise and most importantly TV which unfortunately means we might not be seeing Daredevil in any Marvel movies…maybe ever. That part truly is unfortunate but on the bright side, we may be going into entirely new era of Marvel movies. It seems that that standard Marvel movie formula what’s the doing of Ike Perlmutter. So I am very much looking forward to seeing what could be Marvel’s new formula.
