It looks like it’s time for another Clinton Tarantino joint. QT recently dropped the trailer for his newest film, the western “bottle film” the hateful eight. Now although this is a teaser I have come to expect more from Tarantino. I remember seeing the inglorious bastards trailer and get them excitement like I was really in for a ride even if the actual movie was a little underwhelming. The same can be said for Django unchained which also had a great trailer but didn’t really live up to the hype. So if that is the pattern and hate the late might be a fucking masterpiece because I got to say here people even though it’s a teaser trailer I felt zero excitement for this. A matter fact I was more excited when we only had the teaser that wasn’t even the teaser, it was something closer to an opening credits sequence, but it was more exciting than this. Tarantino is looking to throw reservoir dogs and Django unchained into a blender and press purée because that is pretty much all this seems to be. I am looking forward to seeing the glorious 70 mm Panavision but The real question is does Tarantino still have enough in him to have a movie with strictly his dialogue as the star?

One of his pluses is the fact that he makes great, memorable characters and we have plenty to choose from ( well…eight, anyways), We have: John Ruth (Kurt Russel), who is a “mean and grizzled bounty hunter, Daisy Domergue (Jennifer Jason Leigh), a prisoner set to be hung, Major Marquis Warren (Samuel L. Jackson), a black former union officer, Joe Gage (Michael Madsen) one of four “mysterious cowboys”, Oswaldo Mobray (Tim Roth), an English gentleman, General Sanford Smithers (Bruce Dern), a former confederate general, Chris Mannix (Walton Goggins), a Southern sheriff, and Bob (Damian Bechir), the Mexican innkeeper.

Only time will tell the film opens on January 18, 2016. But in the meantime check the trailer out for yourself:
