Vin Diesel Brings Back ‘XXX’ – The Daily Double Talk

Honestly is anyone really surprised by this news? I mean, it’s Vin Diesel for fuck sake, so of course he’s revamping one of his successful early 2000’s hits, just as he’s done the past 5 years. XXX you’re up! Diesel has brought us four Fast and Furious movies and a Riddick movie since he decided to embrace what most actors in Hollywood refuse to, that he’s always gonna be Dom, Riddick and XXX to most people. Although when he was being anointed the next Stallone or Schwarzenegger he couldn’t get away from those franchises soon enough. He cut ties with the young Fast and Furious franchise after the first film as well XXX, causing the studio to cast Ice Cube as a replacement for that particular sequel. But after some box office and critical flops (A Man Apart, Babylon AD amongst others) Mr. Diesel discovered the hard way that Hollywood can be cruel, cruel place. The phone suddenly stopped ringing as it does for most actors who’s popularity expires. But unlike those other actors Vin did something unimaginable, he embarrassed what made him, him. He rejoined and revamped the Fast and Furious series, he concluded his a Riddick series and in the process has made millions of dollars, a rejuvenated career and a return to A list status in Hollywood. The move actually sparked something similar in a lot of Hollywood actors who had glory days courtesy of certain iconic films. Tom Cruise has continued his Mission: Impossible series which has gained even more popularity, similar to the latest Fast and Furious movies. It’s no longer an unspoken no-no in Hollywood to go back to thing that made you a star. The fact Diesel rose from his ashes is amazing. That is something rarely seen in the entertainment industry, so it’s not a shocker that Vin is continuing his winning formula with third XXX movie which is set to start filming in the Philippines in December. No plot details have been given.
