Ben Affleck Set For New ‘Batman’ Trilogy – The Daily Double Talk

Yes, yes, damn it, yes! You know what I am happy about this bit of news. I’m not happy about some of the things that DC and Warner Bros. do but dammit I’m very happy about this. According to Den of Geek, the big shots over a Warner Bros. studios had a private screening of the upcoming Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice and apparently things went far better than expected. The film was said to have received a “standing ovation” and the head honchos are even going so far as to saying that as far as they are concerned Affleck (not Bale, not Keaton) is their “definitive” Batman/Bruce Wayne. Now those are very, very bold words, especially in a day and age were geeks and fanboys are so vocal. Affleck is said to be given a multi picture deal for Batman instead of his original single picture deal (to write and direct) that will consist of him writing and directing his own Batman trilogy. It has also been mentioned that DC has decided to make Batman, not Superman, the center of the DCCU, which in my personal opinion would be one of the smartest moves the studio could make.

Seeing house one of the only people who believe that Ben Affleck would make a good Batman this is even more so enjoyable to me. I don’t mean to gloat but fuck it I do– I told you so, I specifically said “that motherfucker has that quintessential Batman chin which means he was destined to be a good Batman. Now don’t let me get ahead of myself now. All this remains to be seen but the fact that the studio is so excited they jumped the gun and gave Ben Affleck, not one, not two, but three standalone Batman films then that seems like a very good sign for things to come.
