Bill Cosby Arraigned on Sexual Assault Charges

bill-cosby-141118

Whomever said Karma was a bitch wasn’t lying. That is if accused and now arrained comedian Bill Cosby is convicted of the horrific allegations brought forth by Cosby’s 50 plus accusers. Cosby was accused of drugging and sexually assaulting numerous women over the course of decades. Most of those cases were either settled out of court, couldn’t be tried because of the statute of limitation, or were just sort of swept under the rug by various authorities because of Cosby’s status and the lack of such by the accuser. Today, however, all of that changed. An arrest warrant was issued for Cosby back in 2004 at his Elkins Park, Pennsylvania mansion. The warrant was in relation to Cosby allegedly drugging and sexually assaulting former Temple employee Andrea Constand. The now infamous comedian was arraigned for that case today, Montgomery County District Attorney-Elect Kevin Steele said:

“A prosecutor’s job is to follow the evidence wherever it leads and whenever it comes to light. Upon examination of all the evidence, today we are able to seek justice on behalf of the victim.”

Steele also explained the relationship between Cosby and Constand, saying that Constand “came to consider Mr. Cosby her mentor and her friend.” Apparently, Cosby “made two sexual advances at her that were rejected, Mr. Cosby urged her to take pills and to drink wine, the effect of which left her unable to [rebuff his advances].”

It was said that there is no denying the fact that Cosby drugged Constand, that will be considered as fact in court. The only defense that seems to be plausible is the fact that Cosby’s arraignment may have been a political ploy by Steele who one an election basically on the promise he’d go after Cosby. Not sure how this case will play out but Cosby, who is 78 and legally blind will have to face some hard questions and expose somethings about himself I’m sure he never thought he would.
