Check Out The New Trailer For ‘London Has Fallen’

londonhasfallen

I know that I am definitely in the minority of people when I say that I actually, sort-of, kinda…like the 2013 action flick ‘Olympus Has Fallen’, I actually kind of love it. I have my reasons for this, I mean, true the movie isn’t great by any means, it has tons of flaws, plot holes, and shitty dialogue. The reason I am so fond of it is because it reminds me of the action movies I grew up with, particularly “Die Hard”. ‘Olympus Has Fallen’ came out the same year as ‘A Good Day To Die Hard’ and totally out Die Harded ‘Die Hard’. Watching OHF made me long for more dumb, testosterone driven action films, that unfortunately we haven’t gotten since. True you could say, “hey, what about Kingsman”. ‘Kingsman’ was an amazing action film but it was very meta, it was more of an action comedy whereas OHF was like the old-school action flicks that took themselves seriously even though it was dumb as shit. It was something refreshing about that, so hopefully the ‘Olympus’ sequel ‘London Has Fallen’ can pick up that mantle once again. Although looking at the trailer that seems like wishful thinking. The entire cast is back including Morgan Freeman, Gerard Butler, Melissa Leo, and Aaron Eckhart all return, something seems to be missing from this installment. It may be the absence of director Antoine Fuqua. Check out the trailer for yourself and see what you think. If you don’t the official plot to the new film here it is:

In London for the Prime Minister’s funeral, Mike Banning discovers a plot to assassinate all the attending world leaders.

And if you’ve never seen the original heres the plot for that film:

Disgraced former Presidential guard Mike Banning finds himself trapped inside the White House in the wake of a terrorist attack; using his inside knowledge, Banning works with national security to rescue the President from his kidnappers.
