FX Really Loves Fargo Creator Noah Hawley

Fargohawley

Fargo is hands down my favorite show on television right now. It has surpassed Game Of Thrones as my absolute, must watch show and anyone who has seen it knows exactly what I’m talking about.  The show is brilliant on a whole other level. The storytelling is rich, intricate and most importantly stays consistent episode to episode. Actually it seems to get better episode after episode, so it’s no wonder that FX, the network behind Fargo, wanted more shows with that level of quality. The network has given Fargo creator Noah Hawley a big work load, signing him to a hefty multi-year contract and he’s gonna have his work cut out for him. The deal basically states that Hawley gets no less than four new projects in development, in which he’ll be executive producer for each of those projects, as well as a writer on two. Thanks to CinemaBlend we know four of those projects:

Legion: The show would center on a guy who’s dealt with mental issues his entire life, but after meeting a fellow patient at a psychiatric hospital, he starts to believe that his visions and voices may be real.

Cat’s Cradle: Centers on a writer who, while researching for a book about the atomic bomb, discovers that the bomb’s inventor also created a substance that can freeze all the water on the planet.

Hellhound on His Trail: Follows the life and crimes of James Earl Ray, including the Martin Luther King, Jr. assassination and the gigantic manhunt that followed, which troubled investigators for weeks and took place on multiple continents.

The Hot Rock: Based on Donald E. Westlake’s novel of the same name, which was later turned into Peter Yates’ 1972 caper starring Robert Redford and George Segal. The story centers on a group of thieves who try to steal a giant diamond, only to find it’s not as easy to hold onto as they thought.

Those all sound very intriguing and with Hawley behind them I expect they’ll fucking phenomenal.
