Jeffrey Dean Morgan Joins ‘The Walking Dead’ As Negan

I don’t think I’ve been this happy about AMC’s ‘The Walking Dead’ since AMC announced they were making ‘The Walking Dead’. If you know me, then you know I haven’t been all that kind to the show the past couple seasons. Let’s just say, I got some problems with it, be it the super strong skeleton zombies, the recycling of storylines, the black guy of the week thing, and in seasons past, slow pacing (this season seems to moving at a much faster pace). But today I am once again excited about ‘Walking Dead’ news. Sources confirmed that actor Jeffrey Dean Morgan will be play notorious comic book villain Negan. The plan is to have the psychotic character debut toward the end of the current, sixth season and he will go into season 7 with his particular TWD storyline. If you’re unfamiliar with one of my personal favorite bad guys then heres a solid description from The Walking Dead Wiki (this link contains spoilers):

“Negan is a casual, jolly, yet savage man who adores violence and mayhem. He is very intelligent and logical, and possesses a knack for controlling and manipulating others. He has a strong affinity for profane language and offensive comments and a morbid, perverse sense of humor, seeming to enjoy the shock value. His charismatic persona and domineering presence allows him to easily intimidate friends and foes alike.”

The reason I love Negan so much is because, basically, he don’t give a fuck. He’s pretty much the Joker of ‘The Walking Dead’ universe. Unlike The Governor, Negan really takes glee in this new world without humanity, he’s easily come to terms with whats happened and now he’s gonna benefit from it no matter what. In the comics he carries around his trusty barb-wire wrapped baseball bat “Lucille” and does some pretty fucked up things with it. I like the casting of Morgan, he physically fits the role perfectly. Shave the beard, give him a buzz cut, a barb-wired bat, and a leather jacket and looks wise you got Negan. But I also like JDM as an actor, I’m became a fan of his while he was on ‘Supernatural’ along with some other roles like Ike Evans his character from ‘Magic City.’ Morgan or should I now say Negan, has once again given me faith in a show that I had long lost faith in.
