Key And Peele Are Making A Stop-Motion Animated Movie

Keegan-Michael-Key-Jordan-Peele_612x380_0

I know I write about Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele more than I should, but these motherfuckers are really giving me no choice. It seems like every week these two are signing on to new projects only a month or so after the final season of their highly popular Comedy Central show ‘Key and Peele’. This time around it looks like the dynamic duo is planning on making a stop-motion with no other than stop-motion legend Henry Selick, the guy who brought you ‘Coraline’ and ‘A Nightmare Before Christmas’ (yes, Selick directed ANBC not fucking Tim Burton…just so you know). The project is titled ‘Wendall And Wild’ and thanks to Variety here are some details on the plot:

“Two scheming demon brothers who must face their arch-nemesis, the demon-dusting nun Sister Helly, and her two acolytes, the goth teens Kat and Raoul.”

With Selick’s undeniable skills in the sub genre and Key and Peele’s amazing comedic style this one should be one for the ages. I am a fan of Selick and his films one of my personal favorites was ‘James And The Giant Peach’ which I still own. I also own every episode of ‘Key and Peele’ so there you go. Speaking of our generations Abbott and Costello, you they have a very busy couple of years ahead of them. They have a few movies in the works right now including ‘Wendall and Wild’, such as the comedy ‘Keanu’ which is about two friends who hatch a plot to retrieve a stolen cat by posing as drug dealers for a street gang. One project of theirs that I am intrested in, not necessarily looking forward to, is  their reboot of the 80’s comedy classic ‘Police Academy’ which they announced back in mid 2014, which is apparently still happening. Bottomline, these two aren’t going away anytime soon and I for one am perfectly OK with that.
