See The All-Star Cast In The New Trailer for ‘The Big Short’

It’s funny when I saw a still from “The Big Short” (same one as above) it looked somebody was making a sequel to “Wolf of Wall Street” with Ryan Gosling taking over Matthew McConaughey’s role. But as cool as that sounds, it’s not the case. The film is actually a drama, which, to be fair, does seem to incorporate it’s fair share of humor. The film has a massive and impressive cast including: Christian Bale, Steve Carell, Ryan Gosling, Brad Pitt, Melissa Leo, Marisa Tomei, and Selena Gomez. Here’s the synopsis courtesy of ComingSoon.net:
When four outsiders saw what the big banks, media and government refused to, the global collapse of the economy, they had an idea: The Big Short. Their bold investment leads them into the dark underbelly of modern banking where they must question everyone and everything. The film is based on the true story and best-selling book by Michael Lewis (The Blind Side, Moneyball), and directed by Adam Mckay (Anchorman, Step Brothers).
Louise Rosner-Meyer, Kevin Messick, Brad Pitt, Dede Gardner, Jeremy Kleiner, and Arnon Milchan will be the films producers. Pitts production company Plan B is behind the film.
And yes you heard that right, Adam McKay will be directing the film, hence the humor, this will be his first non-comdeic film. After watching the trailer for this, I didn’t exactly know how to take it. It seems like something between ‘Margin Call’ and the tamer parts of ‘Wolf of Wall Street’. I must admit though, it neither excited or even sparked an ounce of interest. With a cast this exceptional that alone should excite you for this but, at least for me that wasn’t the case. But hey I’m only one guy with one opinion, tell me what you think about the trailer, take a look below:
